Work piles on at new superbike village

CONCRETE piling has started on the site of the new superbike “village’ in Hillington, giving the first tangible sign that work has commenced on this exciting £10million project.

About 180 piles – some up to 46 metres in length – have been driven into the ground on the high-profile site adjacent to the M8.

It is anticipated that 20,000 people will visit two 18,000 square-foot showrooms in the first year of trading.
Ducati Glasgow move from their current premises in the city’s Great Western Road and encompass the Triumph brand under one roof in one of the purpose-built, state-of-the-art facilities. West Coast Harley-Davidson will move from their site at Glasgow’s Charing Cross and occupy the other.

Pacific are on target to complete the project – which was announced in May, 2016 – at the start of 2017.

It is anticipated that 20,000 people will visit the motorcycle showrooms every year and that they will create 50 new jobs.
