We exist to build great things

We’re so vein …

13th June 2019

WHENEVER they get the chance, the Pacific team like to demonstrate that concern for other people runs through their veins.

So when World Blood Donor Day 2019 popped up on the office calendar as taking place on June 14, they knew it was a cause too good to pass up.

Six staff members made their way to the Scottish National Blood Transfusion donor centre in Nelson Mandela Place, Glasgow, today to make their lifesaving donations.

World Blood Donor Day – which is a World Health Organisation initiative –raises awareness of the need for regular donations all around the planet.

There is a vital need for timely supplies of safe and quality-assured blood and blood products, as an integral part of universal health coverage and a key component of effective health systems.

The six Pacific heroes who who selflessly offered an outstretched arm for those in need were Christopher McGuire, Mark Wanless, David Gorman, John Kane, Katie O’Malley and Neil Smith.

Bloody well done!
