THE Tron is one of those mainstay neighbourhood pubs – a regular haunt for people who live nearby and a must-visit for newcomers to the area.
Situated in Hunter Square, just off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, it is a hostelry that boasts a great range of drinks, good value-for-money dining options and a lively atmosphere.
It is also noted for having lots of little alcoves and hidden corners that make it a great place to chat and drink with friends.
Operated by restaurant and bar giants Mitchells & Butlers, The Tron appeals to young and old alike from its prime location in Scotland’s capital city – slap, bang in the middle of the historic Old Town.
During the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Tron flings open its doors and plays host to “Just The Tonic” – a venue for stand-up comics.
Pacific carried out an extensive makeover of this pub in just three weeks, refurbishing all three floors and giving it a vibrant, yet familiar, new face.
In order to avoid significant disruption to trade, The Tron was closed for just two weeks of the scheduled three-week works programme.
