THE new in-store Cafe at the Tesco superstore in Springburn, Glasgow, has just been handed over to the client by Pacific.
This is the second Tesco Cafe that Pacific have delivered for the supermarket giants – coming in the wake of the completion of The Cafe at Tesco in Linwood, Renfrewshire.
And it is the third restaurant in total for the company, Pacific having delivered Tesco’s first Decks restaurant in Scotland – at their superstore in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire – which is the “next tier up” from the Cafe concept.
Up another level from Decks is the Giraffe chain, which Tesco recently acquired as the firm strives to convert its hypermarkets into leisure and retail “destinations”.
Staff at the Cafe in Springburn – on the site of the former railway engineering works at St Rollox – are now undergoing induction training prior to the restaurant opening to the public.
It features utilitarian tables and chairs, industrial-look ceiling fixtures, high-quality lighting, leather sofas, wooden coffee tables, solid timber storage spaces, counter tops and floors and a host of eye-catching styling details.
