Pacific Building has been selected by BAA to deliver a substantial retiling project at Glasgow Airport.
The contract, which will see 1,050sqm of new and existing floor space on the first floor covered with granite tiles, is part of BAA’s major reinvestment programme to upgrade the terminal.
The works are part of the Space Project, which includes the extension and upgrade of the retail area – on first floor, over the terminal’s main entrance – to increase existing retail space. This is designed to provide passengers with a better shopping experience.
Brian Gallacher, Pacific’s managing director, said: “The floor tiling project is one of a number of works being carried out by Pacific for BAA at Glasgow International Airport.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering a quality service to BAA, and to expand our project delivery capabilities, we also opened our site office and workshop at the airport in December, 2010.
“We are proud to be one of Glasgow’s airport construction companies and are delighted to continue to support BAA with this year’s £11.2million upgrade programme.”
