SOME of the country’s best-loved bars and restaurants have been brought to an eager public by Pacific over the years.
And although some restaurants in the UK have suffered as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many have managed to continue trading under imposed restrictions.
We’d like to pay tribute to those businesses that are weathering the storm and remind the public of some of the big eating-out and drinking-out names we have served up via clients such as Mitchells & Butlers, The Restaurant Group, McDonald’s and others.
So here goes …
No1 – Miller & Carter, St Vincent Street, Glasgow

PACIFIC’S brilliant work to transform this much-loved listed building into a steak restaurant was completed in March, 2016 – and it is still one of THE go-to venues for red meat lovers.
The £1.5million project to convert the former bank and Post Office at the corner of Buchanan Street grabbed the media headlines – and it took five months to finish. Tasty!
No 2 – BrewDog, Edinburgh International Airport

THIS was the first BrewDog craft beer bar to be opened at an airport and the client left feeling satisfied by Pacific’s thirst for detail work was The Restaurant Group.
The visually striking watering hole and restaurant is located airside – in the new extension area at the east end of the terminal.
It features funky lighting, chunky furniture, wood and metal finishes and a kitchen housed in a converted shipping container. Trendy!
No3 – Bocco, Aberdeen International Airport

WHEN it comes to good taste in airport dining, it doesn’t get much better than the all-new Bocco restaurant at Aberdeen.
A derivative of the word “Bocca”, meaning “mouth” in Italian, this diner will satisfy the most discerning of travellers.
No4 – Melville Inn, Lasswade, Midlothian

SITUATED right beside the hugely popular Edinburgh Insect and Butterfly World in Lasswade, Midlothian, this historic inn oozes traditional charm and rural character.
So, a sympathetic hand was required to ensure that it retained all the features and appeal that make it so popular with locals and visitors to the area alike.
A rapid four-week refurbishment by Pacific saw its character preserved and its appearance internally and externally improved.
