Pacific have just finished a new seating area for pub chain JD Wetherspoon to complement their Sir Walter Scott bar in the main concourse of Edinburgh International Airport’s airside section, providing more than 120 additional covers.
The boundary of the new overspill was formed using timber screens and planters manufactured by Pacific’s in-house joinery workshop.
In addition, the company also installed new vinyl flooring, waiter stations and banquette seating, with the project completed by a central steel frame structure providing eye-catching signage and branding.
Unlike the more enclosed Sir Walter Scott, this extension unit is light, bright and airy – adjacent to
windows overlooking the runway.
Not surprisingly, the Wetherspoon outlet is proving to be a huge hit with travellers looking for a quick coffee, drink or meal prior to flying off to their destinations – home or abroad.
The company claim to have cracked the formula for a great pub – and Pacific have clearly cracked the formula for great project delivery at airports.
