No2 Freer Street is a new landmark, mixed-use office building situated in the regenerated area of New Fountainbridge, Edinburgh.
Sharing a location with the newly open 262-bedroom Moxy hotel, plus an extensive public realm, it comprises 59,554 sq ft of Grade-A office space over seven floors,
The building has a double-height entrance, visually striking, high-quality finishes throughout and flexible floor plates, which range from 2,000 sq ft to 9,500 sq ft.
Pacific completed the ground-floor entrance and reception area, which benefits from an abundance of natural light.
The scope of the programme of works included building services and IT installations, floor finishes, joinery, decoration, partitions/screens and the fit-out of WCs .
Pacific’s in-house joinery workshop fabricated the reception desk, feature walls, cabinets, banquette seating, credenza table, ceiling rafts and a glued-laminate ceiling feature.
I liked the honestly and openness. You genuinely feel like its an honest organisation – if a mistake was made, there was never a scramble to pass blame or cover it up. Pacific were always open about it.
In-house labour also makes a massive difference. This is something I have noticed in the past. Having labour directly employed rather than sub-contracted makes such a difference. You always find this with directly employed.
