WORK that got under way on March 11, 2014 on the characterful country pub the Melville Inn, in Lasswade, near Edinburgh, was completed in just nine days.
Pacific performed a fast-track refresh for the pub, which trades under the Vintage Inns brand of the Mitchells & Butlers stable.
Handover took place March 20, with trading recommencing the following day.
The Melville Inn pays homage to the Great British pub, oozing rural charm and rustic character amid picturesque surroundings that provide a suitable backdrop for savouring hearty, seasonal food and carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines.
Boasting views to the gothic and grand Melville Castle, the Melville Inn has a beautiful stone and white exterior, and a classic brick and oak interior.
Signature Vintage pies designed by celebrity chef James Martin offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Melville Inn ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
