McDonald’s, Robroyston

FAST-FOOD giants McDonald’s are turning the tables on competitors with a new waiting service.

And Pacific helped deliver the new concept at the company’s diner in Robroyston, Glasgow, as part of a major makeover.

Together with table service, Pacific installed new self-order kiosks to further improve the customer experience.

The kiosks allow diners to browse the menu, look at nutritional information and personalise their meals, while giving people more time to consider their choices.

Table service takes the stress out of finding somewhere to sit when carrying food, potentially with children, bags and buggies.

In restaurants where table service has already been introduced, customer feedback has been positive; with families enjoying the ease of not having to leave children unattended while queuing, and many people feeling it means they have more time to chat with friends and family.

Back in 2011, the McDonald’s drive thru in Robroyston, was the burger giants’ first Scottish new build since 2003, and it was delivered by Pacific.
