McDonald’s opens Eastern front

McDonald’s has finally conquered East Lothian in Scotland – with a little help from Pacific Building!

The fast-food giants have just opened their first premises in the county – an all new “Fast Forward” double drive-thru restaurant.

The restaurant in Spott Road, Dunbar – which will be open 24/7 – has provided jobs for 80 local people and has an impressive 100 covers. It also boasts parking for 30 cars.

It falls into the Experience of the Future concept and in design terms follows the “Wood and Stone” theme, which is light, welcoming and sophisticated.

Argyll and Bute is now the last mainland UK county to remain a McDonald’s-free zone.
