McDonald’s makeover is rock solid

Pacific have just handed over their latest refurbishment project for fast food giants McDonald’s in Dumbarton.

The upgraded restaurant – in the shadow of the historic Dumbarton Rock – is the latest to feature company’s Luna interior design concept.

The project involved a major refurbishment of the restaurant’s dining area, upgrade of the crew room, reconfiguration to separate customers from delivery pick-ups and a kitchen refresh.

The franchisee at Dumbarton said: “McDonald’s are always looking into ways to improve the customer experience and the investment in the Dumbarton restaurant is a key part of that commitment.”

Pacific have also recently handed over a similar project for McDonald’s in Glenrothes, Fife, and currently have two other projects on-site in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The Luna concept is designed to bring people together in a welcoming, playful and shareable environment, inspired by the circle as a symbol of togetherness.

The round and curved graphics are complemented by similarly shaped lighting as well as illuminated surfaces and down-lit walls to create depth and a warm, welcoming environment.

Initially developed for the Chinese market, the Luna concept is now being rolled out globally.
