A HUGE project of truly international and multi-branded dimensions has been completed at Manchester International Airport.
Pacific Building masterminded the creation of an all-new retail experience for World Duty Free.
The project commenced in August, 2019, and was due to be handed over to the client at the end of summer, 2020, but the COVID pandemic altered the completion schedule.
Operating as main contractors, Pacific were tasked with making the design concept come alive for Madrid-headquarted WDF.
There are no fewer than an incredible 71 globally renowned brands that will showcase their products over a massive floorspace, including Tom Ford, Givenchy, Chanel, Dior, Lancome, Johnnie Walker, Glenlivet, Versace, Jimmy Choo, Bacardi, Ray-Ban and Tiffany & Co.
Spanish, French and German-speaking teams interacted with Pacific to ensure the demanding specifications and requirements for these household-name brands were met or exceeded.
Created from an empty shell, the WDF project involved extensive mechanical and electrical works, plus the installation of flooring, partition walling, tiling, new ceilings, doors, cash and till units, signage, digital screens, alarm arrays and sprinkler systems.
