THERE’S lots more to like at a popular pub in Glasgow after an extensive two-week refurbishment.
The Auctioneers, on North Court, near George Square, is a favoured destination for many in and around the city looking for live music and sports on TV.
Well, The Auctioneers will continue to deliver in that regard but it now also offers a whole new look, together with a revamped food and extensive drinks menu.
Traditional pub entertainment, including live music, weekend DJ sets and a weekly pub quiz are also still on the bill.
And it’s all thanks to the comprehensive makeover masterminded by Pacific Building for clients Mitchells & Butlers, one of the largest bar and restaurant operators in the UK.
The three-week refurbishment programme – which was completed in the middle of February, 2019 and involved a two-week shutdown – involved a major strip out of:
There then followed the makeover, which involved:
Speaking about the refurbishment the general manager said; “It’s been fantastic seeing the pub come together over the last couple of weeks.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and see our guests’ reactions over the coming days.
“There have been some big changes and we’re confident they’ll go down well with the people of Glasgow.
“The menu won’t be the only changes our regulars will notice – the interior has had a complete refurbishment with new seating and a new-look bar.”
Following the facelift and significant investment made at the pub, eight new jobs have also been created for the local area.
So there’s lots to like about The Auctioneers!
