WELL done to Pacific’s administration assistant Lauren Schoolar, who completed the Kiltwalk in aid of charity.
Along with friends Gayle Scott and Karen McDougall and her pet dog Clyde, she walked 26 miles from Hampden in Glasgow to Balloch on Loch Lomondside.
The marathon trek took the intrepid quartet 8hrs 45mins, and they raised a total of £570. The Kiltwalk is a charity which organises sponsored walks to raise funds for children’s charities across Scotland.
Lauren said: “That’s the first time I’ve attempted anything of marathon distance, and I underestimated how difficult it was going to be. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
“But it was all in a good cause – so the sore feet were worth it in the end! My friends and I are really proud of our achievement.”
