A GIANT, 250-tonne crane lifts into place the modular structure that will form the new McDonald’s restaurant at the Bellfield Interchange in Kilmarnock.
The “kit” building arrived on the back of a fleet of juggernauts on July 7, 2014, prior to being assembled by the Pacific team.
The project turnaround is scheduled for 12 weeks. This is the town’s second McDonald’s and it has been welcomed, as it will bring new jobs to the area. Fast food chain McDonalds are set to create 50 jobs by opening a second store in Kilmarnock.
The restaurant is on the site of the former Little Chef, which was one of 67 closed in 2012 after poor sales in 2011.
