Inverness WH Smith a success story

PACIFIC’S fit-out of two WH Smith bookshops and stationers at Inverness Airport has been highly praised.

The projects – one landside and one airside – were completed on budget and within the 11-day time limit.

Airport bosses and WH Smith themselves fed back just how pleased they were with the build and praised the project team for their helpfulness and professionalism.

WH Smith said they were “delighted” with all of the works and indicated that they were looking forward to working with Pacific again.

The work at the stores – with a combined budget of £52,000 – involved:

  • Flooring
  • Tiling
  • Door decor
  • Partitions
  • Shelving
  • Displays
  • Painting
  • Electrical works
  • Ceiling alterations
  • Fire alarm installation

While the landside WH Smith underwent a refurbishment of an existing store, the project at its airside counterpart involved a complete fit-out from scratch.

Pacific Building Managing Director Brian Gallacher said: “This is another great success story for us – and it’s appropriate that it involves Britain’s best-loved stationers and book-sellers!

“To be praised in this way is testament, were it needed, to our undeniable professionalism and impressive track record of delivering high-quality projects at airports.”

Pacific have already delivered the flagship WH Smith at Glasgow International Airport.

Regarded as the nation’s favourite newsagent, WH Smith provides a one-stop shop for all travellers’ essentials, including snacks, music, books and magazines.

The company have stores and kiosks all over the UK – in the high street as well as at airports and railway and bus stations.
