InMotion, Glasgow International Airport

PACIFIC have successfully delivered a brand-new tech-based accessories store at Glasgow Airport.

InMotion, which is owned by WH Smith, opened its new outlet – which offers customers an extensive range of the latest technology products and accessories, including headphones, mobile power, Bluetooth speakers, cameras and travel accessories – on Thursday, November, 25.

The shop replaces the Dixons Travel business, which closed earlier this year, and its opening follows the recent announcement by WH Smith that they had won all 30 technology stores across UK airports.

InMotion boasts strong and trusted relationships with leading international brands, such as Apple, Bose, and Samsung and is the market-leading digital accessories retailer across airports in North America, with 117 stores in 43 airports.

Denise Gilmour, Group Head of Retail at Glasgow’s parent company AGS Airports Ltd, said: “We are delighted to bring InMotion to Glasgow.

“This will be a great addition to our terminal and complements the work we have done to help our retail partners throughout the COVID pandemic.”

WH Smith announced in 2018 that they had acquired InMotion.

As an experienced airport contractor, Pacific’s key role was to manage WH Smith’s direct team during the works, arranging passes and ensuring compliance with airport regulations.

Pacific’s scope of works included the strip-out of the existing unit, repair of walls and flooring and a review and upgrade of services including electrics and sprinkler system.

I have had the opportunity to work with Pacific over the past five years through a variety of new construction and modernisation projects on WHSmith stores and TRG pubs/restaurants.

Pacific have demonstrated a professional and ethical calibre during this time, and I am happy to recommend their services.
