THEY say some things in life improve with age, such as a fine whisky – and company Chairman Brian Gallacher is proof of that!
He turned 60 and proved that he had lost none of his lust for life and love of his job by installing himself behind his desk in the Pacific office, as though it was just another work day.
To mark the occasion, his colleagues clubbed together to buy him a gift worthy of the occasion:
- A tour of Cragganmore Distillery on Speyside with a £100 voucher to spend there
- A two-night stay in a hotel, including dinner and breakfast
- £50 spending money for the trip
Brian said: “Everyone knows of my love of the ‘water of life’, so my thanks to everyone for a very thoughtful and generous gift that I am sure I will enjoy immensely.”
And it is fitting that as a child of the Sixties, he can raise a glass to the big Six-Oh.
However, if he’s a bit touchy about his advancing age, he can always console himself with this thought: If life begins at 40, then happy 20th, Brian!
Cheers!
