PACIFIC are about to embark on a comprehensive makeover of one of Scotland’s best-known coastal hotels.
The refurbishment of the Marine Hotel and Spa in North Berwick, East Lothian, which is renowned for its beautiful seaside setting, Victorian architecture and proximity to numerous world-famous golf courses, will commence today (Monday, January 11).
The project will involve the renovation of all 84 existing bedrooms, which necessitate a complete closure of the hotel.
Pacific’s team will strip out existing furnishings, finishes and joinery as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations.
Then existing doors and frames and windows will be renovated, together with the installation of new floor, wall and ceiling finishes.
New MEP installations, new decoration and the installation of FFE (furniture, fixtures and equipment), OSE (operating supplies and equipment) and IT/audio visual equipment will also be involved.
The 16-week programme is due for completion on May 10, 2021.
