Hat’s off to a new look

THE Cocket Hat is a hugely popular bar/restaurant on North Anderson Drive in Aberdeen that boasts of being the city’s favourite carvery.

Every day, chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roast potatoes and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy.

It is part of the massive Mitchells & Butlers chain of restaurants and pubs that spans the British Isles and trades under the Toby Carvery brand.

Pacific were tasked with giving the Cocket Hat a substantial makeover, to keep fresh, up to date and in tune with the needs of modern family diners.

The £200,000 project entailed a full refurbishment with internal floor finishes, decoration, works to bar, external decoration, external service yard, roofing, and a new timber entrance vestibule.

There was also matting, tiling, toilet upgrades, plastering, French polishing, new mirrors, ironmongery and door handles.

The Cocket Hat is a family led pub located on the A90 which runs into the centre of Aberdeen. There is easy access from the local airport, the railway station and the restaurant is just three minutes from the city and 10 minutes from the beach.
