Glasgow Clyde College

This project involved the extension of the main building at Clyde College’s Anniesland campus to create an expanded refectory facility for staff and students within an existing courtyard.

The finished article had to complement design and material aspects already in place while providing a fresh, new, vibrant space for it users.

The contract comprised alterations and down-takings on the existing building to allow construction of a new steel frame structure that features an external envelope incorporating cladding, composite windows and doors, standing seam roof and brickwork.

Internally, the new refectory incorporates glazed and fixed partitions along with furniture, fittings, flooring and decoration. New building services were also installed, incorporating mechanical, electrical, small power, data, lighting and alarm systems. Finally, external works, landscaping and drainage completed the project.
