Foodbank donation goes down a treat

YOU can always bank on the staff at Pacific to show their social conscience whenever they get the chance.

And last week they popped into the company’s local foodbank to make a warmly received donation to help people in need.

Anne Tavendale, Lynsay Thomson and Katie O”Malley handed over £150 worth of food to workers and volunteers at Hillington Park Parish Church in Berryknowes Road, Cardonald, Glasgow.

The church is home to Glasgow South West Foodbank, which distributes supplies to those in need and who are referred for donations by social workers, housing associations, doctors and support workers.

The money used to purchase the food donated by Pacific was raised by staff at the Cultures and Values party, which was held on in the company car park on Friday, August 17.

Helen Rodger, who is Trustee of the food bank, said: “Thank you so much for your generous donation. You have no idea just how much you have helped those in need.”

Anne, Lynsay and Katie made a promise to Helen and Claire McCunnie, who is Development Worker at Glasgow South West Foodbank, that Pacific would stay in touch with a view to providing more help in the future.
