Pacific had to fit out to an extremely tight deadline a well-loved and historic bar/restaurant for Mitchells Butlers plc, the UK’s leading operators of pubs and restaurants, whose extensive stable of brand names include All Bar One, O’Neill’s, Browns and Harvester.
The work to refurbish the 200-year-old Salisbury Arms on Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh, commenced on January 9, 2017 – the first day back at work for most after the festive break – and was completed before the end of the month.
Pacific drew on their vast experience of delivering to deadline and to budget. The project involved refurbishment of the original Georgian windows, external and internal decoration, replacement of furniture, bar installations, new screens, cladding, tiling, toilet makeovers, flooring, lighting, electrical works and a patio extension.
The Salisbury Arms continues to be a beautifully restored, stone-built local establishment of historic character serving up fresh, seasonal food alongside carefully chosen wines and cask ales in cosy, stylish surroundings.
Locals and visitors alike enjoy the buzz of the bar and a roaring fire, and they can dine with a difference in the eclectically furnished restaurant, boasting an exquisite atrium. In the warmer months patrons head to the beer garden for a spot of alfresco eating and drinking.
