Pacific had to fit out to a tight deadline an existing McDonald’s situated in a popular retail park on the northern outskirts of Glasgow.
The finished article would have to meet the client’s exacting standards and it would have to conform to specified design themes and provide a continuity of experience both visually and physically for the customer. It was also to be one of the first restaurants in Scotland to offer table service.
Pacific drew on their vast experience of delivering to deadline and to budget. The project was commenced towards the end of October 2017 and was handed over to the clients on November 22 – just four weeks later.
The project involved removal of existing signage, furniture and installations both internal and external. These were then replaced with new fixtures, and allied with the construction of a new side-by-side drive-thru facility. Draining, markings and parking were included. After the manager’s office was refurbished and a new kitchen installed, the main restaurant area was transformed with the addition of the table service area, self-service kiosks, partitions, wall and floor tiling, new lighting, counters and ceilings, together with security and other ancillary installations.
The restaurant is now open, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to thousands of customers every week from a prime shopping location on Glasgow’s north side.
