Completed on May 10, 2013, Pacific had to fit out their first two-storey project for McDonald’s. It was the burger giants’ first new-build of the year in the United Kingdom and it involved the construction of the external shell by a third-party developer. Pacific drew on their vast experience of working in the retail sector – both as fit-out experts and construction project managers – to deliver a finished product that elicited unprecedented praise from McDonald’s, who have retained Pacific as their sole Scottish contractors on projects north of the Border and in the north of England. McDonald’s were hugely impressed with the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by Pacific’s onsite team throughout the progress of the work.
Liaison with the developers and an intimate knowledge of McDonald’s requirements were key as Pacific drew on their vast experience of delivering to deadline and to budget. The project, involving full fit-out and services installation, was commenced in the middle of March, 2013, and was handed over to the clients just seven weeks later.
Highly focused management of the contract and dedication to the task saw the site manager stay away from home for seven full weeks, which prompted the “We’re Lovin’ It” plaudits from the fast-food company.
The McDonald’s is now open, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks to thousands of customers every week. It is delivering a high quality, value-for-money dining experience to hungry visitors in a stylish and relaxing environment boasting high-quality fittings and other impressive features.
Pacific can also claim to be the only Scottish contractors serving not just McDonald’s but Mitchells & Butlers, pub and restaurant chain JD Wetherspoon and bakery firm Greggs.
