This project was one of the most comprehensive refurbishments ever carried out by Pacific for McDonald’s. The “top-to-bottom” project involved extensive works inside and out to the restaurant on Broadfold Road in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, which closed for the duration.
With a tight 34-day timescale, the project started on May 17, 2018, with a scheduled go-live date of June 19. The target was achieved thanks to seven-day, 12-hour shift patterns combined with Pacific’s vast experience of delivering projects not just for McDonald’s but for big-name clients with demanding requirements. Occupying a high-profile position on one of the city’s busiest roads and with a full business shutdown included in the project, it was imperative the works went smoothly and to plan.
The Bridge of Don branch of McDonald’s reopened right on time and is now back serving customers arriving from surrounding localities, namely Bridge of Don, Danestone, Grandholm and Persley. It is popular with locals and visitors to the area and occupies a high-profile position on one of Aberdeen’s busiest roads.
