BARBECUE and lobster shack Big Easy is one of Pacific’s most prestigious projects – on a prime location in London’s trendy Covent Garden, near to the Crossrail terminal. This bar/diner/music venue shouts style and attitude to its customers and others passing its entrance door.
It is one of three BE restaurants in London – the other two are in bustling Canary Wharf and the iconic King’s Road.
Liaison with partner agencies was key as Pacific drew on their vast experience of delivering to deadline and to budget in a busy, high-footfall retail and leisure environment.
Tight management of the contract meant that there was a minimal disruption to trade and to neighbouring businesses in what is one of the world’s top venues for food, drink and culture. A notable feature of the project was the installation of a substantial mezzanine floor, which catches the eye of customers on arrival at the restaurant for the first time.
Big Easy is able to live up to its reputation of delivering food inspired by the 19th century crab shacks & barbecues of the American Gulf Coast to locals, tourists and home-sick Yanks. And Pacific are no strangers to London, having delivered a number of high-profile projects there, including McDonald’s European headquarters on Edgware Road.
