Pacific had to extend and fit out to an extremely tight deadline a hugely popular fast-food restaurant for McDonald’s. While there would significant disruption to the site, the project had to be completed with minimal loss of trading time. It also had a demanding design brief, being required to accord with the company’s Experience Of The Future concept and employing the Art Of Food visual theme.
Pacific drew on their vast experience of delivering to deadline and to budget. The project ran for virtually the entire month of August 2017, reaching completion and handover on the 30th of the month. The works involved a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing McDonald’s, a new extension, external works to include demolition activity, signage and a new folded roof. Seven-day working and 12-hour shift patterns were utilised to ensure a smooth and timely delivery.
The restaurant has now reopened, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to loyal clients who make their way to this diner from near and far. It is a striking addition to its locale and is a complementary sister to the McDonald’s at the Bellfield Interchange in Kilmarnock, which was built and fitted out by Pacific and which boasts the same up-to-date features as the Armour Street outlet.
