All Bar One, Edinburgh

A POPULAR brasserie in one of Scotland’s premier city locations has reopened after undergoing an extensive makeover by Pacific Building.

All Bar One in George Street, Edinburgh, reopened to the public in its new guise on June 19 – just three weeks after closing for the refurbishment.

The finished article is yet another demonstration of Pacific’s ability to deliver high-quality projects in prestigious locations –where image and materials count for everything – to deadline and to budget.

Tight, time-focused management of the contract meant that All Bar One would continue to hold its place as an upmarket brasserie on one of Scotland’s premier city streets, where customers are served in a stylish and relaxing environment boasting high-quality fittings and other impressive finishes.

Plush upholstery, high-quality timbers, chunky furniture, lighting rafts and a host of other fine facets, together with a wall-mounted feature clock, give All Bar One a presence and standing in keeping with its hard-won reputation as a “place to be seen”, whether for a quick drink with friends or for a relaxing, leisurely meal with family.

The work involved included:

  • Removal and replacement of furniture
  • Installation of steel panels
  • New flooring (tiling and hardwood)
  • New bar front
  • New gantry
  • New doors and vanity units for the toilets
  • Ceramic wall tiling
  • Screens, panelling and mouldings
  • Lighting rafts
  • Shelving
  • Decoration (paint and wallpaper)

All Bar One has been trading from its high-profile position for a number of years, and the time had come to give it a refresh, not just to update some of the features but to ensure its appearance was in keeping with M&B’s prescribed corporate image.

The brasserie reopened on time and is back trading successfully from the impressive Georgian former bank building it occupies at the junction of George Street and Hanover Street.
