10 Years
IN 2015, Pacific Building reached a significant landmark by entering its 10th year in business. The foundation of this success has been the guiding principle of putting the client first.
The company was formed in 2005 by Chartered builder Brian Gallacher, who – together with the team he assembled – resolved to set high standards of service that would ensure that customer needs were prioritised above the construction process.
The team’s considerable skills and experience in the construction industry – particularly in the retail, hotel and leisure sectors – was already acknowledged, resulting in widespread plaudits for fast-track delivery without compromise to quality.
The addition of a mindset of determination to Pacific’s expertise and desire to provide five-star customer service allowed the company to quickly prove its value to clients of national and international standing such as Gleneagles Hotel, McDonald’s fast-food chain, Mitchells & Butlers restaurants and bars and Glasgow International Airport.
Such was the success of this “can-do” approach – and consistent, on-time delivery results – Pacific quickly became the contractor of choice for a number of blue-chip organisations who rewarded the company with repeat business.
By the end of 2008, Pacific had an annual turnover of £4.5 million – which more than doubled by 2011 to £9.7 million – and, despite the severe impact of the global economic turndown, the company continued to grow year on year.
For Pacific, the future is bright. We enjoy a hard-won reputation in our own professional sector and among other industry leaders. We have a strong order book of repeat and new business. And we have a growth plan that will allow us to continue to develop our business and our ideas over the years to come.
For the year running up to Pacific’s birthday in summer, 2015, the company:
- Commissioned a new logo (above)
- Added a new birthday section on the website, which showcased anniversary-related material
- Decided to make 10 donations to 10 local charities to demonstrate its social conscience
- Organised a huge birthday party, to which friends and staff were invited
- Commissioned a series of videos that showcase the company and its staff and which were rolled out through 2015
This is a great place to be, and we are all excited about the next 10 years! Pacific Building … Proud To Build.
