JUST six weeks after breaking the ground on the site of the new McDonald’s in Coatbridge, Pacific handed over the refurbished restaurant to the client company.
The £1million project involved extensive exterior groundworks, including the creation of a new car park and “side-by-side” two-lane access for drive-thru customers.
The restaurant itself required a major overhaul, with the original structure seeing the addition of extensions to create a much larger diner, equipped with the latest features of McDonald’s “restaurants of the future” concept.
Self-order kiosks and tablet tables are two of the latest eye-catching additions to the McDonald’s dining experience. The former help customers order their meals more easily and the latter provide them with a tech-based diversion while they eat – they can surf the web, play games or check their social media.
