  • PACIFIC Building are helping to ensure that a little piece of Glasgow belongs forever to travellers passing through the city’s busy airport.

    The company have fitted out new souvenir shop Discover Glasgow, a 75 square metre facility in the airside area.

    The project was the latest in a series completed at airports by Pacific, adding to their enviable reputation as a company who can deliver complex refurbishments in “live” public areas – on time and within budget.

  • THE expertise for which Pacific is renowned is being proudly showcased at the company's recently opened new headquarters.

    The building in Earl Haig Road, Hillington, also offers more space than the firm's previous home – a short distance away in Paisley – as well as room for any future expansion.

  • Pacific Building have, as you have probably read in the previous article on this page, relocated from their Paisley location to new, larger premises in Hillington Park, Glasgow.

    The new headquarters, which Pacific have fully refurbished and fitted out, comprises offices and meeting rooms, occupying 5,000 square feet and an adjoining storag /workshop area extending to a further 3,000 square feet.

  • Pacific has delivered a substantial refurbishment programme at Bupa's Quayside Care Home in Yoker, Glasgow.

    The project demanded new equipment, flooring, decoration and furnishings to provide the best quality care and comfort for residents, each of whom will participate in the makeover by  choosing their own room’s colour scheme.

    The works included the full refurbishment of all bedrooms and communal facilities, as well as lounges, dining areas and kitchens, in addition to the installation of wet rooms and specialist bathing equipment.

  • Pacific Building has been selected by BAA to deliver a substantial retiling project at Glasgow Airport.

    The contract, which will see 1,050sqm of new and existing floor space on the first floor covered with granite tiles, is part of BAA’s major reinvestment programme to upgrade the terminal.

  • McDonald's first new-build restaurant of 2011 in Scotland was delivered by Pacific Building. The opening of the drive thru in Nerston, East Kilbride, followed that of another one in Robroyston, Glasgow, also completed by Pacific.

    The East Kilbride building is partially modular, with elements being manufactured off-site to improve quality and reduce time spent on the build. The main structure is a steel frame, clad with a composite panel and finished externally with a mix of trespa panels, timber and stone.

  • McDonald’s drive thru in Robroyston, Glasgow, was the burger giants' first Scottish new build since 2003.

    In addition to the construction work, Pacific Building completed the internal fit-out of the restaurant, which is based on McDonald’s “Purely Simple” ethos. Pacific have rolled out the concept across a number of McDonald’s restaurants in the UK, including Scotland’s first outlet to feature the new design in 2009.

  • As part of a £2million investment programme to refurbish all of their Scottish care homes by 2013, Bupa appointed Pacific Building to complete the refurbishment of the 180-bed Quayside Care Home in Yoker, on the baks of the Clyde, with a project value of £700,000.

    The works, which comprise the full refurbishment of all residents’ bedrooms and communal facilities, including lounges, dining areas and kitchens, in addition to the installation of wet rooms and specialist bathing equipment, began in November 2010 and were completed in April 2011.

  • Pacific Building were delighted to be appointed by Greggs plc to fit out three of their stores – at Cameron Toll in Edinburgh, in Dumfries and in Gourock.

    The works involved fit-outs of two new stores for Greggs, in addition to the refit of an existing one.

  • Pacific Building were delighted to be appointed to construct two McDonald’s drive outlets in Robroyston, Glasgow, and Nerston, East Kilbride – the first Scottish new-build restaurants for McDonald’s since 2003.

    It took 12 weeks to complete each restaurant, including the internal fit-out. By employing innovative methods of construction – which inlcuded the assembly of a new style of prefabricated steel components offsite for speed of construction – Pacific ensured that both outlets were finished within the timescales expected.
